DescriptionAs the ESG Data Manager at Yum! Brands, you have a critical role in delivering our Good Growth strategy by supporting the accurate quantification of our ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) initiatives. Your role involves leveraging technical expertise in emerging global ESG regulation, managing data collection and related controls, and ensuring compliance with public company reporting requirements (including CSRD, SEC, local state/country regulations). You will collaborate across the business, with brand partners and other internal functions, as well as external stakeholders such as suppliers, franchisees and investors. You will also support the continued evolution of our ESG data strategy, ensuring we keep pace with industry best practice and increasing assurance requirements.
Salary Range: $ 118,500 to $ 139,400 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Job Accountabilities:
- Own end-to-end global ESG data collection and management strategy and process, with a focus on public company reporting.
- Establish and maintain appropriate internal controls, governance, and policies and procedures to ensure high integrity and auditable outputs.
- Lead engagement with internal and external assurance providers, ratings agency and other regulated bodies with whom Yum!’s ESG data is shared.
- Operate as a technical expert in emerging global ESG reporting regulations and related voluntary reporting frameworks, monitoring the evolving landscape and making timely recommendations to address any required updates and changes.
- Utilize knowledge of data collection, analysis and storage systems to identify opportunities for building efficiency and resilience into the process.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand localized data needs and share back timely insights which help further brand goals.
- Report into the Director of Strategic Planning & Reporting and manage a team of 2 – 3 data analysts.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles of increasing responsibility.
- Public accounting/auditing experience necessary.
- Thorough understanding of global ESG reporting regulation, and related voluntary reporting frameworks.
- Proven experience in data management processes, with a focus on public company reporting and leading disclosure frameworks.
- Strong data analysis skills and the ability to drive data-related decisions.
- People management experience.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
