Description

Reporting to the Director Corporate Sustainability, the ESG Reporting Specialist will help fulfill global voluntary and mandatory ESG reporting requirements and support the research and fulfillment of the evolving and expanding ESG disclosure requirements of our global organization. This role is responsible for the timely publication of all ESG reports and the continuous improvement of internal and external ESG reporting and governance processes and internal controls. This role is part of the ESG program team within Corporate Sustainability, and works across the business, globally and cross-functionally, to collect, report and present ESG data as needed.



Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain ESG intelligence dashboards and assist in the analysis and visualization of ESG data as needed.
  • Master in-house ESG Reporting Software (UL 360) and develop fluency in other internal data collection platforms and processes (e.g., Power BI, OracleHR, etc.).
  • Lead global ESG data collection and reporting to EcoVadis, the UN Global Compact, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the Task Force on Climate Disclosure (TCFD), the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and other frameworks as requested.
  • Collaborate and support the finance team and internal audit in the creation and documentation of internal controls around ESG reporting, and the development of integrated reports.
  • Coordinate, prepare and update internal controls documentation (flowcharts, narratives and risk and control matrices) and support in the identification of risks and design of controls.
  • Maintain records of internal governance processes, policies and procedures for ESG data collection and verification to create audit-quality ESG data.
  • Perform ESG data analysis such as scenario analysis and gap analysis as needed.
  • Update and communicate internal KPI dashboards for global corporate sustainability goals.
  • Research ESG regulation and reporting framework changes and develop plans and communicate needed preparations.
  • Maintain expertise of sustainability reporting frameworks and topics and the GHG protocols energy, water, waste, and other sustainability resource metrics and KPIs.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Certification in ESG, CSR, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Energy, Sustainability, Public Policy, Environmental Studies, Finance or related
  • 2-5 years of related professional experience in data engineering, analysis, business intelligence, and/or dashboard development with a preferred focus on sustainability, energy, engineering, ESG
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain dashboards in Microsoft Power BI, Workiva, 360 or comparable programs
  • Expertise in sustainability frameworks and regulations including GRI, TCFD, SASB, CDP and CSRD.
  • Ability to develop and present analyses using programs including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Cross-functional project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to collaborate remotely across geographies and platforms
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, maturity, credibility, confidence, and integrity
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
