This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.
Organization & Team Overview
The Corporate Environmental Sustainability team is responsible for shaping Comcast’s overall environmental sustainability strategy and working with businesses and teams across the enterprise to develop, align, operationalize, execute on, and communicate that strategy. The team is also responsible for external reporting on Comcast's sustainability strategy and initiatives, including reporting on our enterprise-wide greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across Scopes 1, 2, and 3.
Role Description
We’re looking for an Environmental Sustainability intern to help us manage several projects across emissions accounting, reporting, and strategic planning. The intern will have the opportunity to work members of our Corporate Environmental Sustainability team and key stakeholders across the enterprise to help drive several ongoing initiatives. The intern will have the opportunity to engage on environment, social and governance related topics, gaining skills which include benchmarking, data analysis, project management, change management, strategy development, executive presentation development, communication, and cross-functional collaboration/network building.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparation of external and internal ESG reporting deliverables
Benchmarking Comcast to peers across various sustainability dimensions
Completing analyses for sustainability initiatives or GHG reporting
Supporting improvements and documentation in GHG reporting
Supporting sustainability-related audit processes
Working on sustainability-related projects together with the Corporate Accounting & Reporting teams
Collaborating cross functionally across the organization with both corporate and business unit teams
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Skills
General understanding of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol
Working knowledge of various ESG regulations and requirements
Fast learner that will enjoy working in the fast-moving, developing space of environmental sustainability
Self-directed, motivated, creative, adaptable, strong attention to detail, and passion for critical thinking and problem solving
Excellent organizational, relationship-building, and communication skills
Respects and promotes diversity and inclusion
Preferred Majors: Environmental Sustainability, Environmental Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree from a United States-based college or university
Rising undergraduate Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)
Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)
Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Base Pay: $25.00Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
