As an intern in Global Sustainability office, you will be responsible for working with program stakeholders to support program management and business processes to achieve Micron's Environmental Sustainability goals. You will be working in close partnership with diverse global teams to aid alignment of network strategic direction and be given opportunities to drive innovative solutions to march towards best-in-class performance for Micron's Environmental Sustainability Program.

Responsibilities

Drive Alignment of Strategic Direction and Initiatives

  • Actively collaborate with leadership team and program stakeholders to set Environmental Sustainability goals in alignment with Micron’s strategic direction & close gap towards best-in-class performance
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify levers / enablers to achieve goals set, re-pivot priorities where necessary based on changing business landscape
  • Develop effective and efficient business processes to track & report progress towards goals
  • Identify and resolve issues / conflicts to seek alignment among key stakeholders

Deliver Tactical Support and Program Management

  • Establish structure and manage program dependencies, prioritize programs, track program milestone and deliverables
  • Ensure clarity in goals, clear sense of ownership down to working levels
  • Identify potential roadblocks early and develop resolution plans
  • Facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders, and effectively manage meeting structure to ensure achievement of required outcomes
  • Manage key stakeholders and incorporate feedback for continual improvement of overall program management
  • Coordinate issues escalation from different stakeholders and drive resolution to meet operational objectives 

Strengthen Environmental Sustainability Data Visibility & Governance

  • Enable near-term and long-term emissions, energy, water, and waste modelling accuracy
  • Partner closely with SMAI and cross-functional key stakeholders to enable effective drilldown dashboard for emissions, energy, water, and waste to aid prioritization and opportunities sieving  
  • Partner closely with PROCT ADS / SMAI and cross-functional key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement of environmental sustainability gain / capex / mfg variable cost tracking platform to drive higher accuracies and efficiencies

Setup Channels to Drive Strategic Communication and Collaboration

  • Build close communication among Environmental Sustainability leadership team members
  • Act as a point of contact between leadership and program teams to ensure effective communication or expectations and directions
  • Manage communication on critical projects and activities and be prepared to share status of any underperforming project or activity, along with actions required to resolve performance problems
  • Actively engage with network program managers to share best-known practices
  • Provide regular and structured communication to all team members
  • Ensure team members are well-engaged and motivated to achieve corporate Environmental Sustainability objectives
  • Maintain a strong and open relationship with team members in other functional areas

Requirements

  • 3rd / 4th Year Bachelor’s degree  / Master's Degree in one of the following areas of study: Environmental Management, Sustainability, Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science. 
  • Must be a current student, must not graduate before September 2025.
  • Strong communication skills with senior leaders and cross functional business partners.
  • Strong skills in decision-making, prioritization, and negotiation.
  • Strong problem solving and statistics skills.
  • Strong teamwork and consensus building skills.
