JOB SUMMARY
The Business Data Analyst III within the Risk, Finance, and ESG Data Analytics Office produces data, reports or package of reports utilizing databases, data assets, applications and more to provide information to business leaders. Reports may be in the form of standardized dashboards or customized views of data upon request. Ensures data pulled is consistent with business needs/requests. Applies knowledge of the business to customize and deliver meaningful information. Reviews information to identify data integrity issues and provides feedback to application/ database administrators to ensure any issues are addressed. Answers questions from end-users to provide additional context. Partner with business, technology and operations teams to support Corporate Treasury on their data, analytic and reporting capabilities/requirements. Have understanding of the regulatory environment specific to its impact to Treasury and Capital Markets business. Ability to work closely with the business users to identify the appropriate solutions to meet regulatory, analytic and management reporting needs. Will need to be able to elicit requirements from the business units, translate into technical specification, manage testing and remediation efforts and ensure a strong interface with technology infrastructure and personnel. Data analytics and Reporting may be focused on regulatory matters, operational metrics, and productivity metrics utilizing databases and applications to provide information to business leaders. Applies a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end data processes/flows and concepts to implement frameworks, processes, controls, models, and solutions to ensure data is effectively managed across the organization or within a specific business unit. Responsible for maintaining the integrity of data during the transfer from source systems into business unit data assets. Be able to set the standards / apply data for fit for use when applying data into business decisions. Drives out the identification and mitigation of data issues as necessary to support organization priorities. Identifies and champions the implementation of data process and practice improvements. Lead automation for all deliverables with process efficiency and effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

2. Deep specialized and/or broad knowledge within a professional discipline. 

3. Sound and comprehensive understanding of business and organizational strategies and processes. 

4. Ability to interpret internal and external business challenges and implement best practices to improve products, processes, or services. 

5. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure. 

6. Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities. 

7. Sophisticated analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems. 

8. Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective (new automation, new metrics, new tools etc.)   Focus on process automation to improve efficiency. 

9. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Master's degree or MBA

2. 10 years of related experience.

3. Previous experience in the banking industry.

4. Experience with Data analysis and sound SQL skills
5. Understanding of Finance, Treasury, Investment banking and products
6. Exposure to Data warehousing
7. Experience with Financial Services industry 
8. Business Intelligence/Reporting tool exposure
